- I passed all of my exams!!! (I am awesome.)
- Room cleaned, windows washed, garbage taken out. First suitcase closed. The second one probably never will be.
- The weirdest things got left in my fridge --> tonights special: spinach, an egg, a piece of cheese and two pickles.
- Last night (~last goodbye party).
- Time to go home.
Hi! I'm a Brazilian grad student who's about to move to Bochum for a phd (in Japanese, too!). Out of curiosity, I've been looking for information on what's like to study in RUB, and your blog was just perfect. I binge-read through the whole thing, and it was a most down-to-earth, frank, interestingly human portrayal. I've loved the vocab lists, especially when they were sprinkled all over with that delightful Czech. I certainly will make good use of those megabuses.
OdpovědětVymazatThank you so much for taking the time to write this!
Hi! How nice to read this, thanks so much for such a lovely feedback! I wrote this mostly for my friends and family so I don´t know if there is much practical info you can use. However, if there is anything where a perspective of a used-to-be-a-foreigner-in-Germany student might be useful - feel free to ask.
VymazatI might have to disappoint you though, I think Megabus was bought by Flixbus recently :( Turns out selling tickets for 1Euro probably wasn´t the most profitable business. I am sure you´ll find some student-friendly options in any case though. Enjoy Bochum! RUB is a wonderful university.
